Default Edison Nickel Iron / Nickel Cadmium Batteries

Hello,

Does anyone here have hands on experience with the older Edison flooded NiFe/NiCd batteries?

Mainly installed in older Rail signalling applications.

I have some questions about servicing a set of ED-240 batteries that I may inherit.

Thank you for your time.

No knowledge of any used in signal appliances, but I reckon NiCd is NiCd. They get that infernal memory if they are not treated just so. Could a NiFe be similar?
